House Passes Bill to Fund Military Construction, Veterans

On May 19, the House approved, 295-129, H.R. 4974, the FY2017 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies spending bill. The House Appropriations Committee approved the measure on April 13 (see The Source, 4/15/16). The Senate approved its version of the bill, S. 2806, on April 14 (see The Source, 4/15/16).

H.R. 4974 would provide $184.175 billion in FY2017. This amount is $13.05 billion over FY2016 and $1.277 billion below President Obama’s FY2017 request.
