Child Protection

S. 5054—Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR)/Commerce, Science, and Transportation (12/17/20)—A bill to prevent the uploading of pornographic images to online platforms without the consent of the individuals in the images.

Family Support

S. 5038—Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)/Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry (12/16/20)—A bill to modify the definition of a household under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and for other purposes.

H.R. 9004—Rep. Jesús Garcia (D-IL)/Agriculture (12/17/20)—A bill to repeal provisions relating to the denial of benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and for other purposes.

H.R. 9008—Rep. Jesús Garcia (D-IL)/Energy and Commerce; Agriculture (12/17/20)—A bill to remove barriers to health care and nutrition assistance for children, pregnant persons, and lawfully present individuals, under the Medicaid program under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, the Children’s Health Insurance Program under Title XXI of such Act, and under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, and for other purposes.


H.R. 8958—Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL)/Energy and Commerce (12/14/20)—A bill to require the secretary of Health and Human Services to publish guidance for states on strategies for maternal care providers participating in the Medicaid program to reduce maternal mortality and severe morbidity with respect to individuals receiving medical assistance under such program.


H.R. 8971—Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY)/Foreign Affairs (12/15/20)—A bill to authorize assistance to aid in the prevention and treatment of obstetric fistula in foreign countries, and for other purposes.


S. Res. 803—Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO)/Considered and agreed to (12/16/20)—A resolution designating room S-124 of the United States Capitol as the “U.S. Senator Margaret Chase Smith Room,” and designating room S-115 of the United States Capitol as the “U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski Room,” in recognition of their service to the Senate and the people of the United States.

H.R. 8986—Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA)/Oversight and Reform (12/16/20)—A bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 120 4th Street in Petaluma, California, as the “Lynn C. Woolsey Post Office Building.”


H.R. 9016—Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-MI)/Veterans’ Affairs (12/17/20)—A bill to require the secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish a pilot program to furnish doula services to veterans.

Violence Against Women

H.R. 9001—Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO)/House Administration; Oversight and Reform (12/17/20)—A bill to provide that a Member of Congress convicted of certain felony offenses relating to sexual abuse shall not be eligible for retirement benefits based on that individual’s Member service, and for other purposes.
