Civil Rights 

H.R. 7354–Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL)/Judiciary; Education and the Workforce; Energy and Commerce; Financial Services (2/14/2024)–A bill to establish an Interagency Task Force to examine the conditions and experiences of Black women and girls in education, economic development, healthcare, labor and employment, housing, justice and civil rights, to promote community-based methods for mitigating and addressing harm and ensuring accountability, and to study societal effects on Black women and girls. 

Tax Policy 

H.R. 7360–Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY)/Ways and Means (2/14/2024)–A bill to increase and make fully refundable the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit to increase the amount excludable from gross income for employer-provided dependent care assistance, and for other purposes. 

Violence Against Women 

H. Res. 1013–Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA)/Judiciary (2/14/2024)–A resolution expressing support for the designation of February as “National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month” to specifically combat sexual and physical violence, psychological aggression, and stalking.

Women’s History 

S. Res. 561–Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK)/Considered and agreed to (2/13/2024)–A resolution designating February 16, 2024, as “National Elizabeth Peratrovich Day” to commemorate her efforts as a civil rights activist and women’s suffrage advocate.
