Women’s History Museum Bill Clears Senate Panel

On April 21, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee approved, by voice vote, the House and Senate versions of the National Women’s History Museum Act (H.R. 1700 and S. 2129, respectively). The House passed H.R. 1700 on October 14, 2009 (see The Source, 10/16/09).

The legislation would convey to National Women’s History Museum, Inc. a portion of a government-owned building for the purpose of establishing the Women’s History Museum on the National Mall.
