Miscellaneous – On July 9, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, the Harriet Tubman National Historical Parks Act (S. 247).

Employment – On July 9, the House passed, 415-6, the Senate’s amended version of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (H.R. 803).

Hearings:

Human Trafficking – On July 8, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee on Children and Families held a hearing, “Falling Through the Cracks: The Challenges of Prevention and Identification in Child Trafficking and Private Re-homing.”

On July 8, the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asian and Pacific Affairs held a hearing, “Combatting Forced Labor and Modern Day Slavery in East Asia and the Pacific.”
